Ablai’s trip to Almaty

When we were leaving Jakarta at night at 9:00 p.m. the weather was thundering, lightening and heavy rain!

We left Jakarta on 27th June and then to Kuala Lumpur for refuelling. Across the Indian Ocean and then across India, passing over once princely State of Hyderabad, before hitting Dubai. Dubai airport was awful because of too many people and no seats. Then in Dubai we stayed there almost 6 Hours then we boarded Air Astana for the very interesting 4 and a half Hours trip to Almaty.

We flew over the Gulf of Arabia to Sourthern Iran, close to Herat in Afghanistan, then over the Western end of the Hindu Kush, Bamiyan and Balkh, in Afghanistan and over Termez in Uzbekistan and then we started losing altitude as we head for Almaty.



The trip took us almost 2 days!




The Landing was safe flying almost 2 days!
